Auckland schools and childcare facilities are only open for children of essential workers.

Police have set up checkpoints in and out of Auckland to monitor who is entering and leaving the city.

Gatherings in Auckland are only permitted for weddings, funerals and tangihanga and are limited to 10 people. Physical distancing and public health measures should be maintained.

There are seven new cases of Covid-19 in New Zealand today.

There are now a total of 56 active cases, with 37 linked to the community outbreak.

A person who arrived in Japan with Covid-19 visited Wairakei Terraces and Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland in Rotorua and Taupō shortly before their departure.
